THE REVOLUTION is some serious fun!

Remember why you first got into SUP surfing? That extra freedom and glide to have fun in waves that were rendered un-surfable on your surfboard. This is a throwback to those days but with a performance flare. The Revolution is the performance longboard SUP that you can throw on the roof of your car and have fun in any conditions, from ankle biters to well overhead, the Revolution is the all round performer.

OUTLINE:

Traditional clean longboard outline, subtle flyer, rounded pin. The outline is relatively balanced with the widest point in the middle, it does carry some width to around 3ft from the tail before pulling in to a performance shortboard outline, so the board can be pumped for speed easily and can be surfed freely off the tail. If you have never owned one, you will basically freak out at how well this board can surf.

RAILS:

Low profile, shortboard style. The really low rails do a few different jobs, fat rails are harder to bury, especially at speed, so the low rails make the board super sensitive and responsive in turns. Because our stringers are in our rail line, the board has a greater range of flex and spring back. The low rail is more submerged when walking and nose riding so the board is nice and stable to walk with water flowing over the rails holding them down. Lastly, the bottom edge through the tail is quite tucked under, this gives the board good hold into late drops and a smooth ride in general.

ROCKER:

Full performance rocker. This amount of rocker fits nicely into tighter parts of the wave, yet it is still flat enough to carry without needing to be pumped, but it can be pumped for speed with ease if the wave requires. The curve is an even curve all the way out the tail, so it still carries speed even if you are standing right on the tail. The board has a nice squirt or acceleration if you stomp your back foot, as opposed to a tail flip which is like hitting the brakes.

BOTTOM:

Flat bottom. The idea is to keep the board going fast, it already has plenty of features to keep the board loose and sensitive, no need for added contours as the overall design is not dependent on bottom contours for control. Additionally, the general Sunova construction with the flexible bottom adds another dimension that reduces the need for contours.

DECK:

Standard deck roll. Not much going on here apart from thickness distribution. Having the nose and tail quite refined lowers swing weight and keeps the board feeling sensitive.

FINS:

Thruster. For sure the best performance option, I personally like to run a slightly smaller tail fin, as this frees the tail up a little better in tight under the lip style turns and snaps in general.

FINAL STATEMENT:

A true all rounder and performer. A board that will evolve your surfing or keep you at the top of your game.

TR3 TEC is SUNOVA’s most popular surf SUP and foil technology. After the success of our ECOTec technology and due to the rising cost of materials and our push for sustainability we introduced TR3 TEC. Using similar base materials but incorporating models from our entire SUP and foil range TR3 TEC enables us to offer a great product at a reasonable price point.

A lightweight EPS core is coupled with a parabolic carbon fiber rail and sustainably sourced Paulownia wood making for a very aesthetically pleasing package. The wood is sandwiched top and bottom with fiberglass and bio epoxy resin, giving it good flex characteristics but making it extremely resistant to paddle marks or depressions. Finished off with natural colors and tones these boards look very sleek with an EVA deck pad that matches the overall theme. A ledge handle makes these boards super easy to transport and carry.

Fitted with a self-regulating air vent that utilizes a slightly permeable Goretex membrane encased in a special aluminum vent designed and engineered by TBF, TR3 TEC boards are suitable for all. Available in 4 layup types (Vapour Light, Team, Standard, Bullet Proof) you will surely find something to suit your needs.

What do our Stock Statuses mean?

In Stock - In Store = Available to buy now & collect in store or buy online now for delivery.

In Stock - Storage Hub = These items are in stock in Swansea although stored in a third party Storage Hub. Items can be collected from the Storage Hub Monday - Friday 8.30am-5pm. If you require items to be collected from our store you may want to call us to check when we can collect these for you.

In Stock - To Order = Available but allow an additional 3-5 days for delivery or collection.

Pre-Order = This product needs to be ordered from our supplier and will only be ordered once a pre order is made. Or we've made an order from our supplier and stock is due to arrive at some date in the future, this date will be communicated where possible on product the page.

Out Of Stock = This product is no longer available, or we are waiting for a confirmed date for when new stock will arrive.
