Foiling - Did you try it yet?

There are many different approaches to learn, you can grab a surf foil and paddle into some mellow swell lumps or you can try it behind a boat. This isn't like wakeboarding so you don't need a powerful, fuel-guzzling boat, we have seen guys towing foils on the back of a little rib without to much strain on the boat or engine. Without the water resistance, you would receive from a wakeboard or surfboard tow, you can experience the flying sensation with as little as 6 knots.
For complete beginners, it is super easy to learn behind a boat if you start on a SUP foil, this way you don't have the complications popping up and can start on your feet at a slow pace.
If you come from a SUP background and that is your competence then it makes sense to start there. With the extra volume and paddle, you can build speed without the assistance of a steep wave or boat and can find lift in some deeper sea swell.
